The Personal Information Protection Policies of Marketing Research Service, Inc

Marketing Research Service, Inc. (MRS) is using marketing research to provide statistical information about the situation and opinions of consumers (survey respondents) to companies and organizations. In this way we are contributing to the development of society.
In doing so, with respect to the protection of personal information, the source of statistical information, we comply with the “ICC/ESOMAR International Code,” the international code of conduct of the marketing research industry, and the Japan Marketing Research Association’s “Code of Conduct of Marketing Research for Japan.”
MRS is giving sufficient consideration and taking appropriate measures for ensuring the safety of information providers from the perspective of personal information protection, and for storing and managing the data, and now we have established the “Personal Information Protection Policies.” Here we declare our resolution that we will comply with and implement these policies in our business operations are being implemented.

1. The rules for the collection, use, provision, entrusting to third parties, and management of appropriate personal information taking into account the nature of MRS, a company that handles large volumes of many kinds of information, including personal information, are stipulated in the “MRS Personal Information Protection Regulations” and “Detailed Rules of Operation.” And we are providing education to all employees that handle personal information to ensure that they comply with these regulations and rules.
2. Appropriate information security measures to prevent the loss, destruction, falsification, leak, etc., of the personal information handled by MRS, measures to prevent unauthorized access to information, and measures to prevent computer viruses, etc., are stipulated in the “Safety Regulations Concerning Personal Information” and the “Security Manual.” And we are providing education to all employees that handle personal information to ensure that they comply with these regulations and the manual.
3. MRS has established a compliance program with respect to personal information protection, and is providing education to all employees that handle personal information to ensure that the program is implemented, maintained, and continuously improved.
4. MRS is educating and providing guidance to all employees that handle personal information concerning laws, regulations, and other standards concerning personal information.

MRS is putting the Personal Information Protection Policies and the MRS Personal Information Protection Regulations into document form, familiarizing company employees with them, and taking all possible measures to make people other than company employees aware of them too.
